Big Story of Today
There isn't a Biggest Story for Today, yet.
Joining Deadmoon

As stated previously, Deadmoon uses a different recruitment system from
most of the other end-game guilds of our faction. A common
question we get is "where's the recruitment forum?" In short: we
don't have one. The following describes the procedure we use for
bringing new members aboard, as well as what we look for.

What We're Looking For

Deadmoon is not the right guild for everyone. Specifically, you should consider carefully whether you'd like to apply if any of the following characterize what you're looking for:

  • Being part of "the" foremost PvE guild on our faction at any cost.
  • You don't want to have to do any work signing up for raids etc. out of game.
  • You don't want to have to talk to anyone or get to know your guildmates.
  • You're just looking for a quick invite.
  • You're looking for a small guild focused on pre-raiding material.
We put alot of effort into filtering through our applicants, and if we get the sense that you're not interested in us specifically, we probably won't advance your application. If you do know what you're looking for, and the following apply, then consider bringing yourself to our attention:
  • Having a strong guild support structure outside of the game.
  • Striking a balance between reasonable amounts of raiding and progress in PvE.
  • Seeking a more mature focus with a low-key tone to the way we handle almost everything.
  • Having a raiding group that's patient and doesn't rely on battering its raiders to maintain organization.
While the above isn't necessarily a full characterization, it does give a good starting point for getting an idea of what we're like. If you haven't yet, be sure to read our Guild Profile, which gives a little more background on where we come from and what we're looking for.

How to Apply

As said above, we don't have a recruitment forum; neither do we advertise publically for recruits. Rather, we rely on getting to know each applicant individually, weighing - from our perspective - their relative strengths and weaknesses before coming to a final decision. As far as the process is concerned, here are the steps an applicant will follow:
  1. Check the website (you've done this) and find out at least something about us; in some cases you may know one of our members. Ask them about the guild and try to gather some information before putting in your application.
  2. Email an application to applications@deadmoontribe.com - read below to see the sort of thing we're expecting.
  3. You may contact one of our officers in game to let them know that you've filed your application. They may or may not have time to speak with you the first time you get in touch.
  4. Hang tight. Within a few days, you'll be contacted by one of our officers for a few more questions (or for a first session, if they couldn't initially). We do our best to condense the application process as much as possible, but it's vital we cover the important points before seriously considering any applicant.
  5. The officer(s) will let you know roughly how long you can expect to wait; currently, the process takes a minimum of 2-3 days, but in many cases will extend to 1-2 weeks, depending on the circumstances. During this time we do our best to dig up information about your background through our members and network of friends in other guilds, ensuring that we've done our best to know what we're getting by admitting you.
  6. After this period of time, we will contact you, regardless of what the answer is. If we consider an application, then we will follow through.
Your Application

As with our entire process, our application differs from most of those you'll find out here: namely, it doesn't have a set structure or form. Feel free to include as much - or as little - information about yourself and what you're looking for. Please be aware, however, that we do use this as an initial point in your evaluation; we have an excess of applications due to Horde's instability right now, so please be aware that this could make a difference. For guidance, good starting points include your guild history, end-game objectives, and style of play - beyond that, it's up to you.

Again, please email your application to applications@deadmoontribe.com - while you're free to post on the general forums here, you may not get any official response there.

Our Officers

You may contact any of the following people with regards to your application:

- Colphaer
- Darksilver
- Grimbear
- Lorrec
- Merliin
- Muggus
- Nosfotorius
- Quenlill
- Reinbach
- Tazzomax

What To Expect

Currently, we process a large number of applications, the majority of which will not be finalized. If you are applying to multiple guilds at once, we will take this as a sign that you're not considering us seriously. If you post an application in our general forum where it's clear that you haven't read this information, we won't consider you. You're more than welcome to stop by and introduce yourself, but it's vital to understand that the process we use is different than the vast majority of guilds out here not just in principle, but in practice, as well.

Best of luck to those applying,

- Tazzomax, GM Deadmoon Tribe
